/ ½ bunch of basil
/ 16cl white rum
/ 8cl cane sugar syrup
/ 8cl lime juice
/ Crushed ice
/ Schweppes® Citrus (Agrumes)
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend the basil leaves (keep 4 aside for garnish) in a small chopper with a splash of Schweppes®, then strain.
In a pitcher, mix the strained basil-infused Schweppes®, rum, cane sugar syrup, and lime juice.
Crush the ice cubes in a blender and distribute the crushed ice into tall cocktail glasses.
Pour the cocktail over the crushed ice, top up with more Schweppes® to taste, and garnish with a basil leaf before serving immediately.
OUR TIPS
For a non-alcoholic version, simply skip the rum.
You can also replace the cane sugar syrup with lime syrup for an even zingier, more acidic kick.
