Ingredients:
– 750 g of mixed red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc.)
– 8 tbsp liquid honey
– Juice of 1 lemon
– 2 handfuls of flaked almonds
– 2 tbsp dried myrtle berries (or dried cranberries/goji berries as substitute)
Preparation:
1. Rinse the red fruits. Hull the strawberries if using them. Cut the larger fruits into pieces according to their size.
2. In a pan, heat the fruits with the liquid honey and lemon juice. Stir gently and let them warm through for a few minutes until they start to release their juice and become lightly syrupy (do not overcook — a few minutes is enough).
3. In another pan, without any fat, toast the flaked almonds for a few minutes until golden. Set aside.
4. **Our tips**
– When the season is right, use very ripe red fruits — they will be much more flavorful.
– Delicious served warm or slightly cooled with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of thick Greek yogurt / fromage blanc.
– The warm fruits also pair wonderfully with myrtle berries.
**To serve**
Distribute the warm fruits into bowls or glasses. Sprinkle with the toasted flaked almonds and a few dried myrtle berries. Serve immediately while still warm.
Enjoy! 🍓🍯
